Organization changes of CIISB at the Institute of Biotechnology
The CIISB facilities at IBT have been undergoing the following organizational changes.
Registration is open to join the first IMAGINE meeting open to all Instruct Centres on the 15th of September 2023 from 14:00 to 17:00 CEST. This meeting will highlight the new services (imaging instrumentation, tools and methods..) developed in the project and initiate collaborations with Instruct Centres external to IMAGINE. Indeed, Instruct Centres external to IMAGINE might take part in the validation and testing of the new services developed.
Following this event, we will collect expression of interest of Instruct Centres that wish to participate in IMAGINE validation/testing phase.
Warning: This meeting is open to Instruct partners only!
Aims of the IMAGINE project:
1- Develop innovative cross-scale imaging instrumentation, tools and methods, focusing on 4 microscopy technologies https://www.embl.org/about/info/imagine/technology-development/):
-X-ray imaging,
-cryogenic, electron microscopy (EM),
-cryo-and dynamic super-resolution microscopy (SRM)
-large volume intravital microscopy,
2- Validate the newly developed imaging technologies for service readiness in RIs and integrate them across RIs
3-Train RI staff in the operation and use of the newly developed imaging technologies;
Main role of Instruct in IMAGINE:
One of the main roles of Instruct in IMAGINE will be to validate/test the new technologies/services developed in the project relevant for the Structural Biology community, disseminate and integrate these technologies within Instruct and Instruct Centres.
For this validation phase, relevant Instruct Centres not yet involved in IMAGINE will be invited to contribute and might be integrated in the project as Affiliated Entities.
The CIISB facilities at IBT have been undergoing the following organizational changes.
