6 Mar 2020

EMBO recently launched Core Facility Fellowships, which will support international training exchanges for staff working in core facilities that provide services to research institutes and universities.

EMBO Core Facility Fellowships are:

  • for scientists and technicians working in core facilities to visit other core facilities
  • for the visiting fellows to learn specific techniques and acquire expertise that they can implement when they return to their home institutes
  • financial contributions towards travel and subsistence costs of the fellow for visits lasting for one week to one month

Short-Term Fellowship exchanges with Japanese institutes

Throughout 2020, EMBO will consider applications for Short-Term Fellowships and Core Facility Fellowships for scientific exchanges involving institutes in Japan and institutes in an EMBC Member State, EMBC Associate Member State or a country or territory covered by a cooperation agreement with the EMBC.

Short-Term Fellowships support research visits of up to three months to promote valuable collaborations with laboratories applying techniques unavailable at the fellow’s home institute. Core Facility Fellowships support training exchanges of up to one month for scientists and technicians working in core research facilities to acquire new expertise at another facility (see above).
