Instruct-ERIC Resource Centre – Supporting research relating to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19

Instruct-ERIC has put together a catalogue of tools, information and support that is available from Instruct and the wider scientific community to support COVID-19 research Many Instruct-ERIC services are available via remote access, where samples can be sent for analysis without the need for researchers to travel. The Instruct-ERIC catalogue contains key technologies that are currently available for priority COVID-19 research, specifically Cryo-Electron Microscopy, Protein Production,Magnetic Resonance (NMR), X-ray Techniques, Computational Support, and Mass Spectrometry.

Vladimír Sklenář Scholarship 2026

To honor the memory of Prof. Vladimír Sklenář, an internationally renowned scientist and an important organizer of scientific activities in the Czech Republic, CEITEC Masaryk University awards the Vladimír Sklenář Scholarship. The scholarship is intended for students of doctoral studies at universities in the Czech and Slovak Republics working with NMR spectroscopy and can be used to cover the costs related to their studies. The intention is to improve the conditions for the awardee’s personal and career development.

The scholarship in the amount of CZK 100,000, which may be taxable according to the practice of the institution and/or the tax regulations of the beneficiary's country, is sponsored by Měřicí technika Morava. The scholarship will be awarded to one person per year.

The application deadline for the 2026 scholarship is February 28, 2026.

Biophysicist for the core facility of Centre of Molecular Structure

We are seeking a molecular biophysicist to join the Centre of Molecular Structure (CMS), part of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology. The Centre also provides research services within Instruct-ERIC, the European infrastructure for structural biology. It brings together several core facilities, providing a comprehensive approach to studying the three-dimensional structure, function, and biophysical properties of biological molecules.

New CIISB Service for Interpretation of Structural Flexibility and Dynamics Using Molecular-Dynamics Simulations

We are introducing Computer simulations for structural data interpretation as a new offering among CIISB’s service portfolio. The new service will run in pilot mode during 2026-2027 to evaluate the user interest and optimize the service offering in accordance with the user community needs.
