SAXS training “workshop” dealing mostly with SAXS data processing. Session is organised by Tomas Kumpler (Ceitec) and Tereza Skalova (Biocev). Differential Scanning Calorimetry Workshop |
First 2-day workshop will be focused on Differential scanning calorimetry and will be held on Oct 3-4, 2017. The main speaker and tutor during practical part will be Peter Gimeson from Malvern Instruments who is an expert in field of calorimetry. New PEAQ-DSC machine will be present during whole workshop. Two other speakers will present two new Malvern instruments - VISCOSIZER and OMNISEC (there will be a demonstration of these isntruments during workshop). Theoretical part (first day) will be limited only by the number of seats in the room.

Biomacromolecular Crystallization Workshop |
Second 4-day crystallization workshop will be focused on Biomacromolecular crystallization techniques and will be held on Oct 23-26, 2017. So far we have confirmation from numerous well known speakers from abroad - Serge Perez (CERMAV-CNRS, Grenoble, France), Clare Stevenson (UEA, Norwich, UK), Gabriel Demo (UMMS, Worchester, USA) and in-house speaker Josef Houser (CEITEC MU, Brno, CZ).
In this workshop, the attendees should gain the knowledge about various aspects of crystallization as well as about the whole process of structure determination.
Practical part (limited to 12-16 persons) will be focused on real crystallization set-up by several techniques including high-throughput automation
. Theoretical part is limited only by number of available seats in the room.
