Open day of the Centre of Molecular Structure

  • 31 October 2018
  • BIOCEV, Vestec
What is the Centre of Molecular Structure?

The Centre of Molecular Structure (CMS) encompasses several laboratories providing a complex approach to studies of three-dimensional structure, function, and biophysical properties of biological molecules. Together with core facilities in CEITEC, CMS is a part of Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology (CIISB), national affiliated centre of Instruct-ERIC (European Integrated Structural Biology Infrastructure). The laboratories of CMS provide services enabling research or routine measurements on proteins, nucleic acids, protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid, or protein-small molecule complexes. The CMS technologies also enable advanced analysis of any biological macromolecules from a variety of sample types or products.

For more details see
What can you hear or see?

Information about equipment, techniques, and expertise available at CMS, details about modes of access, guided tour of available instruments for biomolecular techniques, with details on how certain techniques are used (amount of sample, quality, etc.). An update regarding new instruments will be given.

Why?

An overview for new potential users, an update for current users (new equipment), a reminder about available techniques for PIs, details for experimenters and students.

Details?

Please check the attached programme of the event. Direct your questions either to magdalena.schneiderova@ibt.cas.cz (+420 325 873 703) or jan.dohnalek@ibt.cas.cz (+420 325 873 758).

Participants can purchase lunch in the Biocev canteen individually.

When?

31st October 2018

Please register by sending an email to magdalena.schneiderova@ibt.cas.cz by 26th October, indicating your scientific role and field. This will make organization easier for us.

Cannot make it?

The next update is planned for spring 2019.

We will be looking forward to welcoming you in CMS.
